The Year Gone by!!!!

Well, as time goes by, you do tend to reflect on the mistakes that you have made and the things that you did right. And the year gone by wasn’t one that I shall hold close to my heart. Coz I made a lot of mistakes that I thought I would never make, and I am a better man because of that. So here goes my year post!!!




• What had you done in 2007 that you had never done before?
Flown all alone, without the scrutiny of my parents or any of my relatives.

• What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
A satisfying and a well-paying job.

• What do you wish you had done more of 2007?
Study.

• What song(s) will always remind you of 2007?
Chak De India, Maa( Taree Zamein Par), Alvida( Life In a Metro),
She Wolf(Megadeth),Carnival of Rust( Poets of the Fall) and loads more.

• What date from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory and why?
I think it was 11th May…don even ask why.

• What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Has to be when I was selected to go play as part of my college
football team in Rourkela,though the trip was a disaster, but I
got real excited about it.

• What was the best thing you got in 2007?
The lap upon which I type.

• What places did you visit this year?
Delhi( again), Shantiniketan, Tarapith, Rourkela

• What was the best book you read in 2007?
I read The Doctors, by Erich Sehgal after a long time and also I liked
seventh Harry Potter book. And I really liked the Sons of Fortune by
Jeffrey Archer.

• What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned twenty. I spent the birthday at home with my parents,
my cousins and my aunt, and had a real good time, without the
birthday bumps that I feared I would get from my friends.

• What do you wish you had done less of in 2007?
Been online and got angry!!

• What was your favorite film this year?
Well, that would be The Bourne Ultimatum, Taree Zamein Par.

• Who did you miss the most among relatives and friends?
Has to be my sister. We meet so less, yet she’s the best friend
that I can have.


• What did you hate most about yourself this year?
Being unable to recall during my exams and my disastrous performance somewhere.

• Did you do anything you are ashamed of this year?
There are two such incidents, not to be made public!!!!

• If you could go back in time to any moment of 2007 and change something,
what would that be?
The date would be 5th October. I wish I could change what happened that
day. I happened to play the worst I have ever in my life.

• Did you do any act of benevolence this year?
Sadly, nothing this year.

• My 2008 wish list:
1.Read loads of books
2.Study a lot more.
3.Get back my reputation as a good sportsperson.
4.Get a good job.
5.Try to be happy!!!
